I'm the founder of EnergyX — a small performance nutrition business based in Baltimore, MD. This journal is where I document the science of energy, test my own formulas, and share what actually drives peak output.
Not just how much, but when, how often, and how to avoid the crash. A framework built from research and personal tracking.
CoQ10, NAD+, B-vitamins — the unglamorous stuff that actually determines your energy ceiling.
The nootropic angle most energy brands ignore. Alpha-GPC, lion's mane, and what I actually take.
Magnesium, ashwagandha, and sleep hygiene. The boring protocol that makes the performance protocol possible.
Underdosed ingredients, proprietary blends, and the one marker that tells you if a formula is serious.
Crashes aren't just about caffeine. The glucose angle that changed my entire afternoon routine.
I built EnergyX in four formats on purpose — not for variety, but because different situations demand different absorption speeds and convenience profiles. This is the breakdown I wish existed when I started.
After 90 days of self-experimentation tracking onset times, subjective energy ratings, and crash profiles across all four formats, here's what I found.
Read the deep dive →One is stimulating, one is calming. How they stack and when to use each.
Even mild dehydration tanks output. The electrolyte protocol I use daily.
Circadian rhythm, cortisol curve, and a practical daily schedule.
EnergyX is a sole proprietorship I started in Baltimore, MD, because I got tired of energy products that were all marketing and no mechanism. I wanted formulas built around actual physiology — not just caffeine and sugar dressed up in aggressive packaging.
I built four formats — Powder, Capsules, Drops, and Gummies — each designed for a specific use case. This journal documents what I've learned building them, testing them, and using them daily. Every article I publish here, I've lived first.
I also write about things that have nothing to do with my products — sleep, blood sugar, mitochondria, adaptogens — because peak energy is a systems problem, not a supplement problem.
I send a single weekly text with the most actionable energy or performance insight I've found that week — a new study, a protocol update, or a product note. No filler. No spam.
